Virginian-Pilot January 21, 1959
NORFOLK - Leo Abraham Noona, 75, husband of Mrs. Mary Noona, and son of Abraham 
and Mrs. Faumia Lufty Noona, died Tuesday at 11:50 a.m. at a Norfolk hospital.
He was a native of Damascus, Syria, and a resident of Norfolk for the last 55 
years, residing at 2401 Eustis Ave. at the time of his death.
Ran Noona’s Cafe
Before his retirement, he owned and operated Noona’s Cafe, 2324 Springfield 
Ave., Campostella.
Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, Walter L. Noona Sr., of Norfolk; 
two daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Ferrari of Norfolk and Mrs. Margaret Larrimore of 
Newport News; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
He was a member of St. Matthew’s Catholic Church.
The body will be taken from the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments to St. Matthew’s 
Catholic Church for funeral services Saturday at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. 
Mary’s Cemetery. Rosary services at the funeral apartments Friday at 8 p.m.
