Virginian-Pilot January 2 & 3, 1954
Emery Norge, Sr., 61, husband of Mary Vladia Norge, died at the residence, Old 
Broad Creek, Princess Anne County, yesterday at 3 p.m. Besides his wife, he is 
survived by two daughters, Mrs. George A. Giddings, of Shreveport, La., and Mrs. 
Peter J. Decker, of Norfolk; three sons, Emery Norge, Jr., USA; Edward Melvin 
Norge and Joseph V. Norge, of Norfolk; a brother, J. D. Large, of Princess Anne 
County, and three grandchildren.
Mr. Norge was a native of Hungary and had been a resident of Princess Anne 
County for 30 years.
The body was taken to the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home pending funeral 
arrangements.

Emory Norge, Sr. - Funeral services for Mr. Norge will be conducted at the 
Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home Monday at 2 p.m. Burial will be in St. Mary’s 
Cemetery.
