Norman of the 700 block of Lincoln St., a retired carpenter, died July 18, 1991, in a hospital. Mr. Norman was born in Roper, N.C., and had retired from the Norfolk Naval Shipyard after 30 years. He was the widower of Josephine C. Norman and was a member of Shiloh Disciples Church. Survivors include three daughters, Dorethea N. Bagby of Chesapeake, Dorothy Kenion of Norfolk and Joyce Pitts of Virginia Beach; four sons, William S. Norman of McLean, Va., Kenneth B. Norman of New York City, Curtis T. Norman of Portsmouth and Harold Baum of Creswell, N.C.; two sisters, Lillie N. Baum of Virginia Beach and Rebecca N. Pierce of Chesapeake; 19 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Bethlehem Church of Christ Disciples by the Rev. J.A. Edwards. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . Viewing will begin at 3 p.m. today in Hale Funeral Home. The family will assemble at 1 p.m. in the funeral home for the procession. The body will be placed in the church at noon.
