NORFOLK - John Edgar Norman Jr., 53, of 3320 Perrone Ave., a native of Norfolk 
and the husband of the late Mrs. Evelyn Cain Norman, died Sunday in his home.
He was an employee of Norfolk and Western Railway and a member of Central 
Baptist Church and Norview Masonic Lodge 113. He was an Army veteran of World 
War II.
Survivors include two sons, John E. Norman III, and James Edward Norman of 
Norfolk; four sisters, Mrs. Evelyn Columbus of Dearborn, Mich., Mrs. Stella 
Little of Winterville, N.C., and Mrs. Christine Fitzpatrick and Mrs. Nellie 
Miller of Norfolk; and a brother, Harold E. Norman of Columbia, N.C.
A funeral will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, 
Norfolk, by the Rev. C. Norman Bennett Jr. Burial will be in St. Mary’s 
Cemetery. Masonic rites will be accorded at graveside.
