Norfolk Virginian Pilot Friday October 29, 1943
William Henry North, aged 79, husband of Mrs. Elizabeth Tankard North, died at 
his residence, 2502 Lafayette boulevard, last night at 6 o'clock.  He was a 
native of Beaufort County, N.C. and had been a resident of Norfolk for the past 
20 years.  Besides his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Jessie 
Barnette, of Washington, N.C, Mrs. Clyde Kegebein and Miss Bettie North, of 
Norfolk; two sons, Walter M. and Norwood Lee North of Norfolk; 15 grandchildren 
and several great-grandchildren.
Mr. North was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church. 
The body was taken to the James V. Derry Funeral Chapel, 1920 Colley avenue.

NORTH, WILLIAM HENRY --At his residence, 2502 Lafayette boulevard, Thursday 
evening, October 28, 1943, at 6 o'clock, WILLIAM HENRY NORTH, beloved husband of 
Mrs. Elizabeth Tankhard North, aged 80(sic) years.  Body will be taken from the 
James V. Derry Funeral Chapel, 1920 Colley avenue, corner of Harrington to the 
Trinity Baptist church for services SUNDAY AFTERNOON at 3:30 o'clock.  Friends 
of the family are invited to attend.  Interment, Riverside Memorial Park.
