NORFOLK - Mrs. Etta Sweeney North, 59, wife of George Irvin North, and daughter 
of the late James Patrick and Mrs. Anna Brown Sweeney, died Saturday at 4:10 
p.m. at her residence, 205 Ben Gunn Rd., Bay Lake Pines. She was a lifelong 
resident of Norfolk.
Besides her husband, she is survived by one brother, James Patrick Sweeney of 
Norfolk; four sisters, Mrs. Teressa S. Coppridge and Mrs. Mary S. Davenport, 
both of Norfolk, Mrs. Edith L. Flowers of Whitestone, Mrs. Martha H. West of St. 
Petersburg, Fla., and nieces and nephews.
The body was taken to H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments.

NORFOLK - The body of Mrs. Etta Sweeney North, who died Saturday at the 
residence, 205 Ben Gunn Rd., Bay Lake Pines, will be taken from H. D. Oliver 
Funeral Apartments to Sacred Heart Catholic Church for a funeral service Tuesday 
at 10 a.m., with burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Rosary services will begin at 
the Funeral Apartments today at 7:30 p.m.
