Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Friday, February 14, 1992 
Archie Ray Northern of the 600 block of Baker Road, a retired letter carrier and
part time professional photographer, died Feb. 10, 1992.

Mr. Northern was born in Norfolk and had retired from the U.S. Postal Service
after 30 years. He was a graduate of the New York Institute of Photography and
the Progressive School of Photography in New Haven, Conn. He was a former member
of the Virginia Professional Photographers Association. He was an Army veteran
of World War II.

Survivors include a sister, Marion I. Cole of Norfolk.

The funeral will be conducted at noon Saturday in First Baptist Church Bute
Street by the Rev. Robert G. Murray. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery .
Friends may join the family at 905 Anna St., Norfolk, for the procession to the
church. Hale Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
