Norfolk Virginian Pilot Tuesday August 4, 1942
NORTON, JOSEPH HERBERT, SR. At his residence, 1016 Chesapeake avenue, South 
Norfolk, Monday morning, August 3, at 3 o'clock, JOSEPH HERBERT NORTON, SR., son 
of Philo and Martha Herbert Norton and husband of Kate McCoy Norton, in the 86th 
year of his age.
The body was removed to the J.R. Williams Funeral Home, 1027 Chesapeake avenue, 
South Norfolk.  Funeral services will be conducted in the South Norfolk Church of 
Christ, Jackson and Jefferson streets, WEDNESDAY, at 5 o'clock p.m.  Interment 
will be in the family plot in Magnolia Cemetery.
