Norton, one of the best known ladies of South Norfolk, died at her home in that place yesterday evening at 6:15 o'clock, after an illness of a year's duration. She was 51 years of age. Mrs. Norton was a native of Pennsylvania and came to this section 15 years ago, and has been residing in South Norfolk since. The deceased was a consistent member of the Church of Christ (Disciples), and was one of the most charitable women of the community, always going to the rescue of those in need about here. She is survived by a husband and four children, Miss Edna M., Miss Blanche, Mrs. H.M. Agey and L.B. Norton and two brothers residing in Pennsylvania. The funeral will be conducted from the residence Sunday afternoon and the interment will be in Magnolia Cemetery. ****************************************************************** The funeral of the late Mrs. Mary H. Norton was conducted from the family residence in South Norfolk Sunday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock. Rev. J.T.T. Hundley, pastor of the Disciples' Church, Norfolk and Rev. V.W. Bargamin, pastor of Liberty Street M.E. Church, South Norfolk officiated. The interment was in Magnolia Cemetery and the following were the pallbearers: M.W. Bohn, J.H. Schlegel, T.M. Agey, William Tillotson, J.P. Bell and W.E. Ambrose.
