Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark March 6, 1924

Alexander Nugent, aged 73 years, died yesterday morning at Richmond. He formerly 
was building inspector in Norfolk and recently was employed at government 
buildings in Washington. He is survived by four sons, V.L. Nugent, of Cleveland, 
Ohio; Rowland Nugent, of Norfolk; Alexander Nugent, Jr., of Richmond and Linwood 
Nugent, of Washington; three brothers, John and Edward Nugent, of Petersburg and 
Henry Nugent of Prince George County and a sister, Mrs. Ella Ritt, of 
Petersburg.
The body was forwarded to Norfolk and taken to the funeral apartments of James 
V. Derry, 346 West Princess Anne Road, where funeral services will be held 
tomorrow afternoon at 1 o'clock. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
