The Virginian Pilot February 20, 1956
Mrs. Daisy Wilson Hoge Nye, 77, widow of Walter D. Nye and daughter of the 
late John and Mrs. Lucretia Justice Hoge, died at the residence, 4709 
Colonial Avenue, yesterday morning.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Harry A. Wall, of Norfolk; four sons, 
Walter David Nye, Jr., of New Orleans, La.; Stowell Tilton Nye, of Cape 
Charles; Vernon Nye, of Norfolk, and Col. David Bearse Nye, USA; 11 
grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Nye was a native of Richmond, Va., and had resided in Norfolk most of 
her life. Funeral services will be conducted at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral 
Home Tuesday at 3 p.m. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
