Virginian Pilot and Norfolk Landmark Thursday March 2, 1933
Louis Beatty Nye, aged 58, died at his residence, 351 Ward avenue, yesterday 
morning at 7:30 o'clock. Besides his wife, Mrs. Flossie Nye, he is survived by a 
daughter, Miss Thelma Nye and a son, Claude Nye, both of Baltimore; a stepson, 
Howard Heath, of Norfolk; a sister, Mrs. Cornelius Twiford, of Gloucester County 
and three brothers, Willie, Peter and John Nye, all of Capahosie. Mr. Nye was a 
native of Gloucester and had been a resident of Norfolk for the last 20 years and 
was a member of the Woodmen of the World.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home tomorrow 
afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
