O’Connor - Funeral services for Mr. O’Connor, whose death occurred Tuesday morning at a local hospital, were held at 10 o’clock yesterday morning at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Ocean View, the Rev, Martin Quinn, officiating. The Rev. P. P. Brennan, the Rev. Vincent Warren, the Rev. A. J. Taylor and the Rev. E. L. Stephens were in the sanctuary. There was a large attendance and many floral offerings. The casket was covered with clusters of Easter lilies, pink roses and ferns. During the service, Miss Nellie Matthews sang, “O Take Me To Thy Sacred Heart” and “I Need Thee, Heart of Jesus,” with Miss Grace Price as accompanist. Interment was in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers were P. J. Lyons, W. M. Hannan. T. S. Fitzgibbons, J. A. Kennedy, T. J. Carey, John A. Baecher, J. Y. Wilcox and Maj. C. L. Wright. Active pallbearers were Lee P. Lawler, Frank A. Evans, Dr. J. W. Reed, W. J. Cannon, E. J. Ryan, T. David Fitzgibbons, David M. Donovan, B. J. King and W. W. Lee. In his address at the conclusion of the mass, Father Quinn spoke of the deceased as being kindly, sympathetic and charitable, and being always satisfied with his lot in life, and that in as much as he had lived the life of a just man, he would receive a just reward.
