Virginian-Pilot August 4, 1960
NORFOLK - Arthur J. O’Connor, 69, husband of Mrs. Grace M. O’Connor and son of 
the late Edward J. and Mrs. Laura Braekel O’Connor, died Tuesday in a Norfolk 
hospital.
Mr. O’Connor, an employee of the Naval Base, was a native of New York, N.Y., and 
had been a resident of Norfolk for 20 years, residing at 5425 Asby St. He was a 
member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
Besides his wife, he is survived by three sisters, Mrs. James Potterton of 
Rockville Center, L.I., Mrs. Albert Hall of Ridgewood, N.J., and Mrs. Thomas 
Armstrong of Parke Hester, N.Y., and two brothers, William J. O’Connor of 
Riverdale, N.Y., and Lester O’Connor of Longbranch, N.J.
A rosary service will be held at H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments today at 7:30 
p.m. A funeral service will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church Friday at 10 
a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
