VIRGINIA BEACH - Ethel Vanderberry O’Connor, 76, a native of Norfolk and the 
widow of Dr. Frank J. O’Connor, died Monday in her home at 1069 Charity Drive.
Mrs. O’Connor was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, the Christ 
Child Society, the Woman’s Club of Norfolk and the Ghent Garden Club.
Survivors include a daughter, Patricia O. Hilliard of Virginia Beach; two sons, 
Dr. Frank J. O’Connor Jr. of Virginia Beach and Thomas C. O’Connor of Hampton, 
Ga.; a brother, Claude F. Vanderberry of Norfolk; and 11 grandchildren.
A Mass of the Resurrection will be offered at 11 a.m. Thursday in Blessed 
Sacrament Catholic Church by the Rev. Thomas Nee. Burial will be in St. Mary’s 
Catholic Cemetery.
A Christian wake service will be held at 6:30 p.m. today in H.D. Oliver Funeral 
Apartments, Norfolk. The family will receive friends at 1114 Cambridge Crescent, 
Norfolk.
