NORFOLK — Mrs. Florence Foley O’Connor, 81, of 611 Manteo St., widow of Frank J. 
O’Connor Sr., and daughter of James E. and Mrs. Mary Doran Foley, died Monday in 
Alexandria.
She was a native of Newark, N.J., and lived in Norfolk 70 years.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church; Oneida Council Order of 
Pocahontas; and the Three Score and Ten Club.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Lawrence W. Kirby, of Alexandria; a son, Dr. 
Frank J. O’Connor Jr.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The body will be taken from H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments to Sacred Heart 
Catholic Church for a funeral service Wednesday at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. 
Mary’s Cemetery. The Rosary will be recited in the funeral apartments tonight at 
8:30.
