O’Connor, Sr., aged 75, of 611 Manteo street, was stricken with a heart attack yesterday morning while attending a mass at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, at Princess Anne road and Blow street. His death occurred at 8:15 o’clock, shortly after he was taken into the church parish house. Mr. O’Connor, a native of Ireland and a well-known resident of Norfolk for the past 58 years, was the son of the late Frank J. and Mrs. Margaret Hernon O’Connor. He was the husband of Mrs. Florence Foley O’Connor. He was a member of the Holy Name Society of Sacred Heart Church. Surviving Mr. O’Connor, besides his wife, are two sons, Dr. F. J. O’Connor, Jr., of Norfolk, and John Martin O’Connor, of Chicago; one daughter, Mrs. Mason H. Holland, of Norfolk; two grandchildren, Frank J. O’Connor, 3d, and John M. O’Connor, Jr.; two sisters, Mrs. Thomas J. Shannon and Mrs. Peter F. Hernon, both of Norfolk, and one brother, Patrick O’Connor, of Ireland. The body will be taken from the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, 1501 Colonial avenue, to Sacred Heart Church for funeral services Wednesday morning at 10 o’clock. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Rosary services will be held at the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments tomorrow night at 8 o’clock.
