Hernon, 2611 Villa Circle, after a lingering illness, at the age of 34 years. He was a native of Ireland and had been living in Norfolk for eight years. He was employed at the Norfolk Navy Yard at the time of his death. He is unmarried and is survived by his mother, Mrs. Margaret O’Connor, of Ireland, two sisters, Mrs. P. F. Hernon and Mrs. Thomas Shannon, both of Norfolk, and two brothers, Frank J. O’Connor of Norfolk and P. J. O’Connor of Ireland. The funeral will be held this morning at 10 o’clock at St. Mary’s Catholic church. Burial will be in St. Mary’s cemetery.
