Virginian-Pilot March 28, 1961
NORFOLK – Mrs. Mary L. O’Connor, 81, widow of James Martin O’Connor and daughter 
of John T. and Hattie Downing Knuckler, a native of Martinsburg, W. Va., and a 
former resident of Norfolk, died Friday at Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
Surviving her are a son, Kenneth M. O’Connor, and two grandchildren of Fort 
Lauderdale.
The body will be taken from the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments to Sacred Heart 
Catholic Church for a service Wednesday at 10 a.m. with burial in St. Mary’s 
Cemetery.
