Virginian-Pilot February 20, 1942
Mrs. Mary Theresa O’Connor, aged 68, wife of John W. O’Connor, and daughter of 
the late Robert and Mrs. Margaret Mangan Brennan, died at the residence, 122 
Maycox avenue, Academy Terrace, yesterday afternoon at 1:15 o’clock. Mrs. 
O’Connor was a native of Washington, D.C., and a resident of Norfolk for the 
past 38 years. Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. 
Oliver W. Story and Mrs. George A. Glover, both of Norfolk; two sons, R. J. 
O’Connor, of New York, and Maurice J. O’Connor, of Norfolk; three grandchildren, 
and a nephew, George L. McKee, of Washington, D. C. Funeral services will be 
held at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, of which Mrs. O’Connor was a member, 
Saturday morning at 10 o’clock. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Rosary 
services will be held at the residence tonight at 8:30 o’clock.
