Virginian-Pilot  April 2, 1955
Maurice James O’Connor, Sr., 54, husband of Mrs. Josephine Tisdale O’Connor, and 
son of the late John William and Mrs. Mary Brennan O’Connor, died yesterday at 
4:55 a.m. at a Norfolk hospital.
Mr. O’Connor was a native of Washington and had been a resident of Norfolk for 
40 years, residing at 211 Thole Street at the time of his death.
Besides his wife, Mrs. Josephine Tisdale O’Connor, he is survived by one son, 
Maurice J. O’Connor, Jr., USAF; one daughter, Miss Mary Sue O’Connor, of 
Norfolk; one brother, Charles Robert O’Connor, and two sisters, Mrs. Oliver W. 
Story and Mrs. George A. Glover, all of Norfolk.
The body will be taken from the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments to Blessed 
Sacrament Catholic Church, of which he was a member, for funeral services Monday 
at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Rosary services will be 
conducted at the funeral apartments Sunday at 7:30 p.m.
