Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark December 16, 1919

Mrs. Elmira Catherine Odell, wife of Simeon Odell, aged 76 years, died yesterday 
afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the home of her son, Frank C. Odell, near Portlock, 
Norfolk County.
Mrs. Odell was a daughter of the late George and Mrs. Margaret Scofield Curtis, 
of Parnia, N.Y., but had made her home in this section fourteen years, where she 
had become well known and esteemed.  Mrs. Odell is survived by the following 
children: George R. and Frank C. Odell, Norfolk County; Mrs. S.D. Scott, of 
Norfolk and one sister, Mrs. Mary J. Spier, Phelps, N.Y. The funeral will be 
conducted at the above residence Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock and burial 
will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
