An exception to the firearm accidents was the sad death of Mr. John O’Donnell, who returned to his home, 182 Bermuda street, complaining that he felt unwell and was found dead in the morning, smothered by pillows and bedclothing. It is supposed that while ill, he became unconscious and while helpless was smothered. The funeral was held yesterday morning from Oliver’s funeral apartments at 10 o’clock, the Rev. Father Walsh, of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, officiating. Interment was made in St. Mary’s Cemetery. The pallbearers were: Messrs. Edward C. Cheshire, Joseph J. Hennelly, Patrick J. Lawler, James G. Brownley, T. B. Wright and Charles H. Consolvo.
