Norfolk Virginian Pilot April 26, 1936

John Joseph O'Hara, aged 48, husband of Mrs. Anna Major O'Hara and son of the 
late Michael and Margaret O'Hara, died at his residence, 314 Chapel Street, 
yesterday at 6:45 p.m. Mr. O'Hara was a native of Wilkes-Barre, Pa. and a 
resident of Norfolk for the past six years. He was sexton of St. Mary's Catholic 
Church and St. Mary's Female Academy. Besides his wife, he is survived by a son, 
Herbert Barrett; five grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Mary Kane, of Wilkes-
Barre.
The body will be take from H.D. Oliver's Funeral Apartments, 610-12 East 
Freemason Street, to St. Mary's Catholic Church for services Tuesday morning at 
10 o'clock. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.

25th, 1936, at 6:45 o’clock p.m., JOHN JOSEPH, husband of Anna Major O’Hara, and 
son of the late Michael and Margaret O’Hara, in the 49th year of his age.
Remains will be taken from H. D. Oliver’s Funeral Apartments, Nos. 610-612 East 
Freemason street, to St. Mary’s Catholic Church, for services TUESDAY MORNING at 
10 o’clock. Friends of the family are invited to attend. Interment, St. Mary’s 
Cemetery.
