GREENVILLE, S.C. — Thelma Elizabeth Plant Ohmsen, 77, of 414 Summit Drive, died 
Friday in Greenville.
She was a native of Portsmouth, Va., and the widow of Augustine A. Ohmsen. She 
was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Norfolk, where she served 
as president of the Council of Catholic Women and Blessed Virgin Sodality. She 
served in many capacities on the Richmond Diocesan Council of Catholic Women. 
She was a past president of Tidewater Deanery and the women’s auxiliary of De 
Paul Hospital.
Survivors include a daughter, Mary Ross Montagna of Norfolk; three sons, 
Augustine A. Ohmsen III of Greenville, Paul Ohmsen of Roanoke and Raymond F. 
Ohmsen of Chesapeake; a sister, Agnes P. Golden of Georgia; and 10 
grandchildren.
A joyful Mass of the Resurrection will be offered at 10 a.m. Monday in Blessed 
Sacrament Catholic Church by the Rev. Thomas Nee. Burial will be in St. Mary’s 
Cemetery.
The family will be at H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Norfolk, from 7 to 8:30 
p.m. Sunday. Memorial donations may be sent to the Arthritis Foundation or to 
the women’s auxiliary of De Paul Hospital.
