NORFOLK — Miss Ellen C. O’Keefe, 85, daughter of the late John M. and Mrs. 
Margaret Ahern O’Keefe, a native of Philadelphia, Pa., and a resident of Norfolk 
for most of her life, died at 3:05 p.m. yesterday at 901 Shirley Ave.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, and of the Blessed Mother 
Sodality. Surviving her are four nephews, William A. O’Keefe, Dr. J. J. O’Keefe, 
Thomas T. O’Keefe, and Raymond V. O’Keefe; two nieces, Mrs. J. Frank East Jr., 
and Mrs. William L. Fowler, all of Norfolk, and a great-grand-nephew, Walter 
Burke O’Keefe of Los Angeles, Calif.
The body will be taken from the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments to Sacred Heart 
Catholic Church for funeral services tomorrow at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. 
Mary’s Cemetery. Rosary services will be held at the funeral apartments today at 
7:30 p.m.
