O'Keefe, 74, of 905 Shirley Ave. died Thursday in Bedford. A native of Portsmouth, he was a lifelong resident of Tidewater. He was a son of John J. and Mrs. Caroline Buchanan. He was retired from Norfolk Naval Air Station and was a World War II veteran. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Elks Lodge 38, the Knights of Columbus and 4th Degree and Order of Alhambra. Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. J. Frank East, Jr. and Mrs. William L. Fowler and two brothers, Dr. John J. O'Keefe and Raymond V. O'Keefe, all of Norfolk. The Rosary will be said tonight at 8:30 in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments. A Requiem Mass will be celebrated Saturday at 10 a.m. in Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
