Old passed away at his home, 113 Brambleton avenue, at 3 o'clock a. m. yesterday after an illness running through a period of nearly nine months. The deceased was born in Norfolk county but had resided in Norfolk for twenty years, where he was well known and universally esteemed. He was in the 61st year of his age and is survived by a widow, one daughter, Mrs. Banks Walker, and two sons, James and Livius Old. His death has brought deep sorrow not only to his own household but a host of friends in this city, and his native county. The funeral will be solemnized from the Park Avenue Baptist church at 5 o'clock this afternoon and will be conducted by Rev. A. J. Fristoe, D. D. The interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery. Old was held from the Park Avenue Baptist church Sunday afternoon at 5 o'clock and was largely attended. The service was conducted by Rev. A. J. Fristoe, D. D., pastor of the church, and the interment was in Elmwood cemetery. Following were the pall- bearers: M. P. Williams, Ludlow Watkins, F. L. Nicholson, J. T. Wood, L. E. Hall and R. E. Summers.
