M. OLD DIES AT HOME OF SON Was Confederate Veteran and Prominent Retired Princess Anne Farmer George Martin Old, veteran of the Army of the South in the War Between the States, and prominent retired farmer of Princess Anne County, died yesterday morning at 3:30 o'clock at the residence of his son, Curtis L. Old, Hampton Boulevard. He was 88 years old and had been in failing health for months. Mr. Old has lived in Norfolk for the past 40 years and was well known. He was a native of Princess Anne County and spent many years of his life there as a farmer. During the intersectional strife, he served as a member of Company I, Fifteenth Confederate Cavalry. He was a member of Memorial Methodist Church, Berkley. He was a son of the late Kader and Mrs. Eleanor Old. Besides Curtis L. Old, he is survived by another son, George Y. Old; two daughters, Misses Beulah and Eleanor Old and a stepson, G.B. Miller, of Princess Anne County. Funeral services will be conducted at the residence this afternoon at 4 o'clock by the Rev. W.T. Green, D.D., pastor of First Methodist Church and the Rev. W.L. Murphy, pastor of Memorial Methodist Church. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
