                 Mrs. Oliver, 56, Wife of Funeral Home Operator

Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Mengel Oliver, 56, of 7722 Enfield St., the wife of Harry D. 
Oliver, the operator of H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, died Friday in a 
hospital.
A native of Baltimore, she lived in Norfolk most of her life.
She was a daughter of John and Mrs. Mary Arthur Rives Mengel.
Besides her husband, she is survived by three sons, Harry D. Oliver III, John P. 
Oliver and Martin V. Oliver of Norfolk; three daughters, Mrs. Mary Frances 
Lambert of Virginia Beach, Mrs. Betty Ann Goff of Oak Harbor, Wash. and Mrs. 
Loretta Butler of Norfolk; two brothers, Arthur Mengel of Louisville, Ky. and 
John Mengel of Virginia Beach; two sisters, Mrs. John G. Grubb of Virginia Beach 
and Mrs. Ann Mullen of Norfolk; and 10 grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in H.D. Oliver Funeral 
Apartments. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
The family will be at the funeral home today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on 
Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
