Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Friday, September 27, 2002 
Maggie M. Oliver, 90, went to be with the Lord Sept. 24, 2002, at home in the
1400 block of Calhoun St. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be
missed dearly. She was predeceased by her husband, James E. Oliver Sr. and son,
Howard Oliver.

She is survived by seven children, James E. Oliver Jr., Katherine Joyner and
Ruby Brown of Norfolk, William E. Oliver Sr. of Chesapeake, Barbara J. Taylor of
Irvington, N.J., Shirley M. Wyche of Sterling, Va., and Raymond L. Oliver Sr. of
Virginia Beach; 17 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and a host of other
family and friends.

A funeral will be held at noon Saturday in First Baptist Campostella by the Rev.
Harold Cason with interment in Calvary Cemetery . The family will receive
visitors at 3007 Dana St., Norfolk. Hale Funeral Home is in charge.
