Virginian-Pilot September 22, 1989
NORFOLK — Elsie Ferguson “Dovie” O’Malley, 86, of the 900 block of Brandon Ave., 
a retired civil service employee, died Sept. 21, 1989, in a hospital.
Mrs. O’Malley, a native of West Virginia, was the widow of Frank J. O’Malley. 
She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.
Survivors include a sister, Jeroline Webb of Huntington, W.Va., and a brother, 
Carl Ferguson of St. Albans, W.Va.
A Joyful Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday in 
Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church by the Rev. Julian B. Goodman. Entombment will 
be in St. Mary’s Catholic Church Mausoleum. Cox Funeral Home is handling 
arrangements.
Memorial donations may be made to the Poor Clares, 29 Harpersville Road, Newport 
News, Va. 23601.
