Norfolk Ledger Dispatch May 16, 1924

Michael Patrick O'Neal, 53 years old, died at 6:20 o'clock this morning at a 
local hospital. He was a native of Atlanta, Ga. and had been a resident of 
Norfolk for the last 22 years, residing at 675 South May Avenue. He was a 
Spanish War veteran and a member of Elizabeth Camp No. 3, W.O.W. Besides his 
wife, Mrs. Carrie O'Neal, he is survived by one daughter, Miss Myrtle Gladys 
O'Neal and a sister, Mrs. Mary Smith, of Harrison, N.Y. The body will be taken 
from the H.D. Oliver's Funeral Apartments, 610 E. Freemason Street to St. Mary's 
Catholic Church, for funeral services Monday morning at 10 o'clock. Interment 
will be in St Mary's Cemetery.

O’NEAL, in the 54th year of his age.
Remains will be taken from H. D. Oliver’s funeral apartments, No. 610-12 East 
Freemason street to St. Mary’s Catholic church for funeral services Monday 
morning at 10 o’clock. Friends of the family are invited to attend. Interment, 
St. Mary’s cemetery.
