               MRS. MARY F. O'NEILL DIES AT OCEAN VIEW

Mrs. Mary Frances O'Neill, aged 88 years, widow of Charles H. O'Neill, died at 
the residence of her daughter, Mrs. David Carpenter, 144 Ocean View Avenue, 
Ocean View, yesterday morning after an illness of several months. Mrs. O'Neill 
was born in Isle of Wight County, but had been a resident of Norfolk for 70 
years. She was highly respected and esteemed in her community, especially for 
her untiring work in the Freemason Street Baptist Church.
She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. C.L. James, Mrs. D. Carpenter and Mrs. 
Abbott Morris and three sons, C.W. O'Neill, W.S. O'Neill, all of Norfolk and 
A.A. O'Neill, of New York, besides 21 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at the residence of her daughter, 144 Ocean 
View Avenue, tomorrow afternoon at 3 o'clock. The Rev. Sparks W. Melton, pastor 
of Freemason Street Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Elmwood 
Cemetery.
