Norfolk Virginian Pilot February 8, 1947

Mrs. Julia Estelle Mathews O'Rourke, 74, wife of John H. O'Rourke and daughter 
of the late Robert and Mrs. Laura Hundley Mathews, of Mathews County, and a 
resident of Norfolk for 50 years, died yesterday at 8 a.m. at her residence, 
1000 Fairfax Avenue.
Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Miss Kathleen O'Rourke 
and Miss Laura M. O'Rourke, of Norfolk; one sister, Miss Willie Mathews, of 
Newport News; one brother, Robert Mathews, of Westville, N.J.
Services will be held at the chapel of the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, 
Monday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Edward W. Johnston, pastor of the Sacred Heart 
Catholic Church, officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
