Mr. O'Rourke was a native of Ireland but had resided in Portsmouth for 68 years. He was the proprietor of The O'Rourke Marble Works in Church Street, Norfolk, and for many years one of the leading marble men in this section. Mr. O'Rourke was one of the organizers of The Twin City Permanent Building Association and was president of that organization for 32 years. He was known for his many kind and charitable deeds. He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. P.H. Larkin, Mrs. J.P. Carty and Miss Johanna O'Rourke and five grandchildren and one great grandchild. His funeral services will be held at St. Paul's Catholic Church on Friday morning at 10 o'clock and the interment will be made in St. Mary's Cemetery, Norfolk.
