NORFOLK - John Henry O’Rourke, 87, son of Jeremiah and Mrs. Mary O’Rourke, died 
Saturday at 7 a.m., at a Norfolk convalescent home.
Mr. O’Rourke, a retired marine engineer, formerly employed by the Merritt-Chapman-
Scott Corp., was a native of Camden, N.J. He had been a resident of this section 
for 50 years, residing on Route 2, Princess Anne, at the time of his death.
He is survived by two daughters, Miss Kathleen O’Rourke and Mrs. Laura DeShields, 
both of Princess Anne.
The body will be taken from the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments to Sacred Heart 
Catholic Church for funeral services Monday at 11:30 a.m. Burial will be in St. 
Mary’s Cemetery.
