Norfolk - Mrs. Maria Otey of 1414 Princess Anne road, the widow of Herbert Otey,
died in a hospital.

She was a native of Norfolk.

She was an usher of Bethlehem Baptist Church.

Surviving are two sons, Thomas Otey of Norfolk and Frank Otey of New York; 
three daughters, Mrs. Virginia Hart and Mrs. Mildred McGhee of Norfolk, and Mrs.
Elizabeth Adams of Washington;  29 grandchildren;  and 30 great-grandchildren.

Graves Funeral Home was in charge.
