Norfolk Journal and Guide, Nov 19,1960
James E. Outlear Jr., of 2628 Myrtle avenue, who died in New York City on 
Saturday, was scheduled to receive last rites Thursday at the Hale Funeral 
Chapel, with the Rev. Vannie L. Parker officiating.
 
The World War II veteran, who was 54, was to be buried in Calvary Cemetery 
with military honors.
 
A member of the Sons of Norfolk of New York City, Mr. Outlear is survived by 
his wife, Mrs. Naomi Outlear;  a son, a daughter, six grand-children, a 
sister and a brother, all of Norfolk.
