Chesapeake - Mrs. Mary Overton of 1521 Atlantic avenue was given a funeral 
service Sunday in Providence Christian Church, where she held membership.  She 
died Feb. 9 in a hospital.

The Rev. E. L. Coleman officiated at the service.  Burial was in Calvary 
Cemetery with Fitchett Funeral Home in charge.

A Norfolk native, the deceased is survived by her husband, Frank D. Overton;  
three daughters, Mrs. Rebecca Hamlin of Norfolk;  Mrs. Mable Johnson and Mrs. 
Melcina Cooke of Chesapeake;  four sons, Alexander Woodhouse of New York, Melvin 
Overton and Earl Woodhouse of Chesapeake and Lemuel Overton of Philadelphia;  a 
sister, Mrs. Malinda White of Philadelphia;  a brother, Peter White of Norfolk;  
and four grandchildren.
