Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark October 7, 1934

Mrs. Rosa Ann Overton, aged 73, widow of John Anderson Overton, of 1123 
Ferebee avenue, South Norfolk, died at a local hospital last night at 6:45 
o'clock after an illness of three weeks.  A daughter of Mr. and Mrs. 
Wrighton Ward, she was a native of Chowan County, N.C., and had resided in 
this section 40 years.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. J.P. Camp, of South Norfolk; a son, 
Charles Topping, of Norfolk; a stepdaughter, Mrs. R.P. Smith, of New York, 
and two stepsons, Cecil and Roy Overton, both of Norfolk. 
The body was removed to the Graham Funeral Home, 124 East Berkley Avenue, 
where funeral services will be conducted at 3 o'clock tomorrow afternoon.
