Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Tuesday, October 3, 1995 
Sadie Overton, of the 800 block of Dorset Ave., died Sept. 29, 1995, in a local
hospital.

She was a native of Greenville County, Va., and was a member of Queen Street
Baptist Church.

She is survived by one nephew, Charles A. Gray of Norfolk; one niece, Eva G.
Hendricks of Portsmouth; and two great-nephews, George S. Lane III of
Portsmouth, and Charles A. Gray III of Norfolk; a step-great-niece, Gwendolyn G.
Holmes of Virginia Beach; and other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Thursday by the Rev. Howard Purvis in
Graves Funeral Chapel. Burial is in Calvary Cemetery . Friends and family will
assemble at the funeral home at 12:45 p.m. for services.
