OWEN, 83, OF PROMINENT VA. FAMILY Mrs. Judith Ferebee Berkley Owen, 83, of 930 Spotswood Ave., a member of an old Virginia family, died Wednesday in a hospital. A native of Berkley, she was a daughter of Waverley Lee and Mrs, Judith Ferebee Berkley and the widow of Richard Clement Owen. She was a granddaughter of Lycurgus Berkley, who founded the town of Berkley and Mrs. Eliza Middleton Berkley. She was a member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Edwin C. Kellam of Norfolk, Mrs. John Carter Matthews of Towson, Md. and Mrs. Colin G. Steele of Silver Spring, Md.; four sons, William L. Owen and Peyton H. Owen of Norfolk, Richard C. Owen, Jr. of Decatur, Ill. and Austin E. Owen of Virginia Beach; a brother, Fairfax M. Berkley of Norfolk; 21 grandchildren; and two great- grandchildren. A funeral service will be held today at 2;30 p.m. in St. Andrew's Episcopal Church by the Rev. Roger C. Snyder, rector, and Dr. Moultrie Guerry, rector emeritus of St. Paul's Episcopal Church. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery in Berkley. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive, has charge. Those who desire may make contributions to the building fund of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church.
