Alfred Owen Jr. died at age 67 at the Veterans Hospital, Kecoughtan, Nov. 14
after a long illness.

A native of Currituck county, NC, he was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Alfred
Owens and had worked with Old Dominion Freight Company for 20 years before
retiring.

A funeral service was held at Morning Glory Funeral Chapel Nov. 18 with Elder S.
A. Wilson, past of New Calvary Baptist Church officiating.  Mr. Owen had held
membership in the church and had been a member of its choral group.

His survivors include a sister, Mrs. Elnora Branch of Norfolk.
