A funeral service was held on Sunday at First Baptist Church in Campostella for 
Mrs. Rosa B. Owens of 1509 Conoga street, who died on July 27 at her home.

The Rev. R. L. Harris, First Baptist pastor, delivered the eulogy.  Burial was 
in Calvary Cemetery under direction of the Pretlow Funeral Home.

Mrs. Owens was a native of South Boston, daughter of the late Mac and Mrs. Lucy 
Trayhem, and had lived in Norfolk 44 years.  She was a member of First Baptist 
Church and its choir;  the Silver Leaf Social Savings club, Order of Eastern 
Star, Dorcas Chapter 58 and Daughter of Elks.

Surviving are her husband, Thomas Owens;  three sons, John, Robert and Herman 
Owens;  two daughters, Mrs. Ida Roscoe and Mrs. Louise Marrow, all of Norfolk;  
and a sister, Mrs. Sallie A. Green of South Boston.
