Mary Alice Owens died March 14, 1992, in a hospital.

Mrs. Owens was a member of Monticello Baptist Church, Norfolk, and was the widow
of Willie C. Owens. She was born in Laurens, S.C.

Survivors include three daughters, Esther O. Reid of Norfolk, Mary A. Furlow of
Lexington Park, Md., and Denise Tull of Pittsville, Md.; a son, John L. Campbell
of Norfolk; a sister, Lois W. Davis, and a brother, James Jackson, both of
Greenville, S.C.; and seven grandchildren.

The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday in Monticello Baptist Church by
the Rev. Anthony Haynes. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery , Norfolk. Viewing
will be from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday in Hale Funeral Home, Norfolk, and from
11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Thursday in the church. Friends may join the family at
2607 Gosnold Ave., Apt. 8, Norfolk.
