Aaron T. Davis, 70, of the 600 block of E. Princess Anne Road, died July 31, 1998, as a result of a stroke. He was preceded in death by his wife, Vera Stewart Davis.  Mr. Davis retired from NNSC as an electrician foreman in September 1983.  He is survived by his mother, Rosa A. Davis; four sisters, Augustine Sanderlin and Martha Brown, both of New York City, Delores Cooper of Newport News and Eunice Porter of Norfolk, a special friend, Catherine Jones of Norfolk; and a host of nieces and nephews.  A wake will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday at Graves Funeral Home. A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery . 
Janet J. Owens of the 700 block of Fremont St. expired July 26, 1998, at her
residence.

Born Oct. 2, 1912, in Edenton, N.C., she was the daughter of the late Emily L.
Jordan and Van T. Jordan.

She leaves to cherish her memory a son, Charles A. Norfleet Jr. of Newark, N.J.;
a brother, Fred E. Jordan and sister-in-law, Lora N. Jordan of Norfolk; a
sister-of-the-heart, Annie B. Toombs of Norfolk; several nieces and nephews;
many friends; and her church family.

Family and friends will assemble at the Jordan's residence, 436 Leepoint Road,
Norfolk, prior to services to be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in Metropolitan
A.M.E.Z. Church by Dr. R.A. Councill. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery .
Graves Funeral Home is handling arrangements. The body will be taken to the
church at 9:30 a.m. Donations may be made to the Metropolitan A.M.E.Z. Church
Building Fund in memory of Janet J. Owens.
