F. Pacini, 81, Dies; Retired Press Foreman Henry Ferdinand Pacini, 81, retired foreman of the Virginian Pilot press room, where he was employed for 33 years, died yesterday at 1:33 p.m. in a Norfolk hospital after a long illness. Born in Lucca, Italy, on October 14, 1860, he was the son of Michael Pacini and Mrs. Armenia Giannon Pacini. Going to Richmond at the age of two years, he was educated in the public schools of Richmond. He learned the printing trade with the firm of Johns and Goolsby, Richmond. Subsequently employed by Book and Job, a Richmond commercial shop, he left that position to join the Richmond Whig, lately working on the Richmond Times, the Richmond State and the Richmond Dispatch. His press room career included work as a sub on all the Richmond and Norfolk newspapers. Coming to Norfolk 50 years ago, he was employed as foreman of the press room first by the old Virginian and then by the Virginian Pilot, when those papers were consolidated. After 33 years with the Virginian-Pilot, he was retired in 1933 He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. Devoted to sports he owned and bred purebred dogs. He was noted as a hunter of wild game, particularly quail and turkey and as a fisherman. He resided at 121 Carolina Avenue, Ingleside. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Sarah Williamson Pacini; three sons, Henry F. Pacini, Jr. and Joseph W. Pacini, both of Norfolk and Charles Michael Pacini, of Baltimore; a daughter, Miss Virginia Lee Pacini, of Norfolk and one grandson, 10 great-grandchildren, two nieces and a nephew. The body was removed to the H.D Oliver Funeral Apartments, where funeral services will be conducted tomorrow at 11 a.m. by the Rev. L. Douglas Brown, pastor of St. Mary's Catholic Church. **************************************************************************** PACINI, HENRY F. – At a local hospital, Wednesday, March 7, 1951, at 1:30 p.m., HENRY F. PACINI, husband of Mrs. Sarah Williamson Pacini, and son of the late Michael and Mrs. Armenia G. Pacini, in the 82d year of his age. Services at the chapel of the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, 1501 Colonial Avenue, FRIDAY MORNING, at 11 o’clock. Friends of the family are invited to attend.
