Virginian-Pilot November 2, 1974
VIRGINIA BEACH - Joseph Williamson Pacini Sr., 74, a native of Norfolk and a 
retired pressman of The Virginian-Pilot and Ledger-Star, died Thursday morning 
in his home.
He retired in 1965 after many years with the papers.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. James W. Traylor, and a son, Joseph W. Pacini 
Jr., both of Virginia Beach; two brothers, Charles M. Pacini of Kileen, Tex., 
and Henry F. Pacini Jr. of Norfolk; seven grandchildren; and eight great-
grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in St. Mary’s Cemetery, 
Norfolk, by the Rev. Donald H. Traylor. The family will be at Hollomon-Brown 
Funeral Home, Bayside, from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday.



Additional Comments:
There is a discrepancy between the date of death calculated from his obituary 
(Oct. 31) and that listed on his death certificate and tombstone (Nov 1).
