SAN DIEGO, Calif. - Mrs. Ruby Vivian Russell Padgett, 65, of 2818 Luna Ave., 
died in a hospital Sunday. She was the widow of Reginald Joseph Padgett.
A native of Norfolk, and a former resident of Richmond, she lived in San Diego 
nine years.
She was a Catholic.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Mary P. Swanson, of San Diego; two sons, 
Reginald C. Padgett of Richmond and Robert D. Padgett of Columbus, Ohio; a 
sister, Mrs. Ann Rettew of San Diego; eight grandchildren; and a great-
granddaughter.
A funeral service will be conducted in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Norfolk, 
Friday at 11 a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.
The family will be at the home of Mrs. Lena LaBarge of 3224 Humboldt St., 
Norfolk.
